You do not need to know a Freemason, and you do not need to make up your mind about anything today. Asking a question costs nothing.
Who can join
Our Lodge welcomes men aged 18 and over from all backgrounds, faiths and walks of life. What we look for is simply a good character, a willingness to take part, and an interest in making friends and helping others.

Send the short enquiry form below. It comes straight to the Lodge Secretary and nobody else sees it.
A friendly, informal chat
A member will contact you to answer your questions over the phone or a coffee. There is no commitment at this stage, and no pressure at any stage.
Meeting some of our members
You will be invited to meet a few members socially, so you can see whether you enjoy the company — which matters more than anything else.
A visit to the Masonic centre
We will show you the Franklin Rooms, explain what happens at a meeting and introduce you to more of the Lodge, often over a meal.
Your application
If you would like to join and we are all happy, you complete an application form and the Lodge members vote to welcome you.
Time and cost
Freemasonry should sit comfortably alongside your work, your family and your other interests — never ahead of them. Our regular meetings are eight evenings a year, with a few social occasions in addition, and members give as much or as little extra time as suits them.

A word of reassurance
Many of the men in our Lodge arrived knowing nobody and wondering whether they would fit in. They all did. You will be looked after, nothing will be sprung on you, and you may stop at any point with no awkwardness at all.
