Our commitment

This website belongs to everyone who wants to find out about our Lodge, and we want it to be straightforward to use whatever your circumstances. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we have done

  • Text and background colours are chosen to meet AA contrast levels.
  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and focus is always clearly visible.
  • Headings follow a logical order and each page has one main heading.
  • All meaningful images have text descriptions; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Form fields have visible labels, and errors are announced and explained in plain words.
  • A “Skip to main content” link appears at the start of every page.
  • The site works on small screens, and text can be enlarged without loss of content.
  • Animation is reduced automatically if your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Nothing flashes, and no video plays until you choose to start it.

Known limitations

The embedded “Discover Freemasonry” video is hosted by YouTube, so its player is outside our control. Any PDF documents we publish are provided by others; if a PDF is difficult for you to read, please ask us and we will supply the content in another format.
